Representative Chris Murphy believes a strong and valuable education is key for students and the next generation to succeed. As a member of the State House of Representatives, Chris was proud to support comprehensive reform to the way that we fund public education.

Under the new law, our state will fund students, not systems in an effort to ensure every student is given an equal opportunity to succeed with a high quality education. Additionally, Chris was a key supporter of the state tackling teacher retention and recruitment by raising teacher pay by $4,000 per teacher statewide this year.
